Seven members of Morecambe Camera Club struck lucky with a day of fine sunshine whey they explored Manchester city centre's waterways and Victorian underpasses.
Travelling from Lancaster by train to Deansgate, they visited the National Trust's 'sky garden' on the old Castlefield railway viaduct before taking in the tramway and towpaths around Castlefield Basin and along the Rochdale Canal to Oxford Street. They also visited the vibrant canal side Gay Village before concluding the shoot at Piccadilly station for the return train home. The fascinating and successful day out was led by competitions secretary Graham Dean.
The club's next all day shoot is to the Furness area at Conishead Priory and Piel Island on Saturday, August 16.
