In the summer of 2007, a second RSA Coffee House Challenge in Kingston discussed "101 things to do with a dead Market House" and came up with lots of good ideas for uses. This led to further interest from local media and many meetings and discussions with Kingston movers and shakers. Finding plenty of enthusiasm but little in the way of practical help, the chair of the Kingston Coffee House Challenge discussion, local resident and FRSA Marilyn Mason, applied for an RSA Coffee House Challenge award to run a mini-festival, that would enable her to show off the venue and what could be done with it.
