Philosopher, writer, and editor of The Philosophers' Magazine Julian Baggini discusses his latest book, "Welcome to Everytown" (Granta, 2007) , subtitled "A journey into the English mind".
The author of The Pig That Wants to Be Eaten, Do You Think What You Think You Think? and What's It All About? Philosophy and the Meaning of Life, talks about what the English really think about life, based on his fieldwork in the most typical postcode in the country, S66. Do the ideas of the inhabitants of S66 add up to a philosophy of life? Are their ideas anything like yours? Come along, find out, and join the discussion.
Doors open at 6.00pm for refreshments, with the talk beginning at 6.45pm. Borders Books will be present with a selection of Julian Baggini's books, which he will be happy to sign.
