We are really proud to have made some recognisible achievements at the Little Potting Club. However we know our best achievements are some of the smallest, most simplest of tasks we conquer.
BBC Radio Lancashire Make a Difference Award
The Little Potting Club was nominated as one of the finalist for the BBC Radio Lancashire, Make a Difference Award in the environment category. We had the opportunity to attend a radio interview where some of the clubs children volunteered to appear. Although we were all very nervous about the radio interview we represented our club very well and promomted what we do. We were all so very proud as being in a radio station was a truly amazing experience.
You can hear our radio interview here and it is in two parts.

The Royal Horticultural Society
Being members of the RHS School Gardening Campaign we worked our way through each level of gardening achievements to reach the highest level 5. We covered lots of gardening tasks including collecting seed from what we have grown to creating a wild space for nature. The RHS awarded a prize for each level and being a free to attend club we were so excited to receive these prizes as they helped to support our gardening with various seed packets both flowers and vegetable seeds where awarded. We are very proud to display our level 5 plaque in the clubs vegetable growing beds.
The Community Volunteers Service Blackburn vwith Darwen awards
A very proud moment for the Little Potting Club when we were awarded the Environment Award within our local community. The club delivers a wide range of educational activities to help support our natural world and gardening in a park community garden. We are so proud to have been recognised for all our hard work supporting nature in everything we do at the club and in our local community.
We created a wild area in our community garden. Thank you to the Lancashire Wildlife Trust for the opportunity to receive this achievement.
Edgworth Horticultural Show
When entering the Edgworth Horticultural Show for the first time we were extemely proud to have picked up several awards. Many of us attended the show and helped to choose the vegetables we wanted to display on the day. Our runner beans were as long as our arms and we were very pleased with the quaility of our onions and potatoes. Some of us created some beautiful wild flower posies from what we had grown in our community veg garden to enter into the show.
Thank you for browsing our achievements page. We recognise that the best achievements are the small goals that make us great.
