The Course

The route is multi-terrain and passes through some of the most beautiful countryside in England.  It starts at the Surrey Hills Business Park, follows the very gently inclining Wolvens Lane for around 4km before heading up to Coldharbour Common -- a beautiful expanse of heathland bordered by woodland.  The drinks station will be at Coldharbour Cricket Pitch where those of you who need a breather may want to stop for a moment and take in the breathtaking views.  The route then continues over the common and on up to Leith Hill Tower -- the highest point in South East England -- where the views are even more astounding.  Tea and cake can be purchased at Leith Hill Tower itself if you're really taking the run at a leisurely pace!  Orange squash or water can also be purchased.  From Leith Hill, you'll be pleased to hear it's downhill for most of the way -- passing through magical woodland, down to the pretty little hamlet of Broadmoor, on past a waterfall through the Tillingbourne valley and along the Greensands Way back to the Surrey Hills Business Park.

The route is entirely on footpaths, bridleways and by-ways.  You can expect long flat straights combined with some uphill climbs, making it, in our view, the ideal challenge both for serious runners and for those who feel like taking it at a more leisurely pace, be that jogging or enjoying a beautiful walk.  And with the fellowship that comes from all participants believing in a common cause, we're expecting it to be very special indeed.
