We visited this 11 acre garden in Chalgrove in mid-July and it proved to be an outstanding choice.

The planting around the enormous lake was very varied.  It was backed by a large collection of grasses shimmering in the sun and many prairie style plants which were at their peak.  

Other attractions included a lovely island in the middle of the lake with outstanding views from the summerhouse.  There were also traditional borders near the house and a walled vegetable garden and orchard.
