MEMBERS VISIT TO THE GRANGE IN JULY

Our main visit this year will be to The Grange in Oxfordshire. The extensive gardens include beautiful herbaceous borders and fields with prairie planting.

On Tuesday 11 July we have an evening members' visit to the Grange, a manor house set in 11 acres at Chalgrove in Oxfordshire.  There are deep herbaceous borders and a field turned into a prairie with lovely grasses and a wildflower meadow, all surrounded by farmland. There is also a lake with a planted island, a gazebo and bridges, a grass labyrinth and a dried river bed.  You can also explore an old orchard and partly walled kitchen garden.

There are many places to sit and rest while enjoying the surroundings and tea and home-made cakes.

You can find more information and photographs of the gardens on the Garden Visits page
