Kingseat Action Group (KAG) Secures Key Funding for Revitalization

Find out more about the funding we've secured to date

The Kingseat Action Group (KAG), formed in September 2022, is making significant strides towards revitalizing the village’s derelict heritage buildings and creating new community spaces. Having gained Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) status in November 2023, KAG is now poised for transformative change.

In 2024, KAG secured several funding grants, including £2,000 from Aberdeen Voluntary Action for community benches, £9,413 from Barratt Homes for professional fees, and £5,000 from The Architectural Heritage Fund to cover legal costs related to the redevelopment. This funding marks a key step in the ambitious Kingseat Completion Project.

Chairperson Simon Barnett emphasized the group's commitment to realistic, long-term planning. Stay updated on KAG’s progress and future opportunities for community involvement by regularly visiting us here.
