Global French Academy (GFA) was founded by Hermond in March 2024 with the aim of supporting French-speaking people living in the United Kingdom, including newcomers, refugees, and asylum seekers.
The organisation was created after recognising that many French-speaking migrants face challenges when trying to learn English, understand public services, and integrate into their new communities. Language barriers can make it difficult to access education, employment opportunities, and important services such as healthcare or legal support.
The mission of Global French Academy is to help French-speaking migrants build confidence, improve their English language skills, and better understand life in the UK. Through free English lessons, and community partnerships, GFA aims to empower individuals and help them become active members of their communities.
