Project - Tidying the top area of Section3
Project - Tidying the top area of Section3
Work started in July 2023 to dig out the bags of rubbish that were dumped in the corner of the back wall in Section 3.
Finished result August 2023
Whilst clearing the corner in Section 3 we 'dug out' the original stone flooring of what may have been the old toilet block or store shed
We continued clearing the back section, top corner finished result August 2023
We are continuing with clearing away the collapsed wall in Section 3
Plenty of stone to dig out and ground to level
We have dug out this gravestone that was buried under the collapsed wall and thankfully not damaged
The headstone is in memory of Thomas Lambert who died in 1860, his wife Jane who died in 1894 and their daughter Ann Craggs who died in 1915
