Stanley George Pinchen was born in Manningham in 1899, the eldest child of William John Pinchen and Alice Emily. In 1924, he married Bertha Kent and together they raised 3 children – John, Ernest and Joan. Stanley was living in Chapel Street when he passed away in 1943 at the age of 43.
The second interment was Stanely’s father William John Pinchen, who died in 1947 at the age of 77. William was born in Bloomsbury, London in 1870, later moving to Kings Lynn in Norfolk, the birthplace of his parents. He moved to Bradford in the late 1890’s and with Alice Emily settled in the Manningham area, where they raised three children – Stanley, Dorothy and Ernest. William initially followed his father’s trade as a hairdresser, later changing profession to become a sign-writer.
Alice Emily, William’s wife, died in Southport in 1960 and Bertha, Stanley’s wife died in 1951. Both were laid to rest elsewhere.
