Fred Wilkinson was born in Wibsey in 1867 to James and Sarah Wilkinson. He married Annie Gott in January 1891 and began married life living with Annie’s parents in Manningham. They eventually moved to Mount Avenue, Eccleshill where they raised their three sons – Arthur, Harry and Lawrence.
Fred was in the Bradford Royal Infirmary on the night of the 1901 census, and in April of that year sadly died at the young age of 34. He was the first to be buried in this grave. Annie continued to live in Mount Avenue with her sons, along with her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Gott. When they died in 1912 and 1913 respectively, they were buried with Fred. By the time of the 1939 census, Annie had moved and was living with her daughter-in-law, Bertha, in Manor Terrace.
Annie lived a long life, having reached the age of 86 when she died in March 1954. She was also laid to rest with Fred and her parents.
