Dear Members,
It’s September Social time!
We are making plans for a social next month, 10-12 noon on Saturday 5th September weather permitting. It will be a good opportunity to meet with other plot holders and find out what’s been growing well (or not!)

Seed swap

I’d like to introduce a seed swapping scheme - if you have had veg or flowers that have grown particularly well, why not start saving some seeds from them to swap and share with other plot holders? Remember to label them! Brown paper bags or envelopes work well. I’ve got some gorgeous white scabious flowers which have grown really well so I’ll be saving seed from them to share and swap.

Tool hand in

There will also be an opportunity to give up tools that you no longer need or want. Just check that they are in working order.

Raffle

There will be a raffle organised by Donald. Tickets will be £1 for a strip of 5. If you have any prizes (unwanted gifts!) to donate, please bring them in and leave them with me - KT plot 61. They must be new or homemade- I will be donating a jar of my allotment grown jam! Money raised will go into the allotment fund to pay for improvements to the site.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be available on a pay what you want basis, so bring your spare change - there will be a collection tin. Again, all funds raised will go into the allotment fund to pay for improvements to the site.
If anyone wants to show off their baking skills and bring a cake or scones that would be much appreciated! I will bring my homemade olive studded breadsticks.

Looking forward to catching up with my fellow allotmenteers.
