OST - Canon Audley Ost, Christiana Ost and Desmond Ost

Audley Alfred Ost, son of John Ost a naval officer, was born28 June 1861 at Achill, Mayo, Ireland. His career in the Church took him to St. Bees (1884), University of Durham (1889), Penshaw (1886-89), Bermondsey, Paddington and Enfield (1890-94), as a missionary to the Pomeroon Indians Guiana (1902-1904), Dunmore (1905-10), Achonry (2010-23) and finally to East Hanningfield in 1924. He married Christiana on 1st. June, 1910. There were two children, Patricia Elizabeth and Audley Desmond. He died in February, 1939 and is buried in All Saints' Church yard, East Hanningfield.

Christiana Mary Aitken nee Dollar, was born 18 January 1874.  Her father, Thomas Aitken Dollar was a vetinary surgeon in New Bond Street, London.  After her husband's death she and Patricia moved to Vicarage Road, Chelmsford. 

Audley Desmond Ost was born on 29 August 1913 in Sumner, Kansas and baptised at St. Mary's Paddington on 30 September of that year. He married Dora Brown at Sudbury in 1944, and returned to East Hanningfield as rector (date unknown). He died at Ingatestone on 14 November 1984.

Patricia Elizabeth Ost was born on 7 March 1915. In 1939 when living with her mother in Chelmsford, she was a student at secretarial college. She died in Kent on 19 September 1999.
