🍂 Seasonal Challenge: The Great Autumn Leaf Crunch & Fungi Hunt!

Monday 05 October 2026

  • When: All this week (Self-guided – visit anytime!)
  • Where: Anywhere across our beautiful Open Spaces
As the mid-October crisp air rolls in, nature is putting on its most spectacular, colourful show of the year. This week, we are challenging you to step away from the screens, grab your jacket, and head outside to connect with nature’s autumn rhythms.
Getting outside right now is an incredible way to clear your mind, breathe deeply, and boost your mental wellbeing as the seasons shift.

🕵️‍♂️ Your Autumn Detective Mission:
Whether you are walking solo for some peaceful headspace, out with friends, or exploring with the kids, see if your team can check off these three mindful challenges:
  1. The Golden Leaf Crown: Find the biggest, brightest, most beautifully coloured autumn leaf on the ground. Bonus points if you find a perfect oak or maple leaf!
  2. The Mindful Crunch: Find a path covered in dry leaves. Take a slow, quiet walk through them and just listen to that satisfying crunch.
  3. The Hidden Fungi Search: Look closely around the bases of old trees, damp logs, and mossy spots. Can you spot any weird, wonderful toadstools or mushrooms? (Remember the Golden Rule: Look, admire, and snap a picture, but never touch or eat wild fungi!)
