Remembrance Service Sunday 12th November 2023
Just to let you all know that we collected £194.33 for the Poppy Appeal
It is 100 years since the building of the Hall this year (2023) and to celebrate, the Trustees invited everyone in Downley to pop in for Tea and Cake on Sunday 18th June 2023 between 2.00pm and 5.30pm
Thank you to all who came and supported us and made it a very memorable afternoon

The Situation as at July 2022
The refurbishment of the kitchen is now complete. It has a full oven with hob, fridge and microwave and storage cupboards
The Situation as at September 2021
The Trustees have over the past few years done the following to make the hall available to all members of the community:
- The building of an extension to contain a more user friendly staircase, plus two disabled toilets
- Installation of a disabled/wheelchair access ramp to the main hall at road level
- Replaced the roof tiles to ensure the building is water proof against whatever the weather may do
- Installed Central Heating for all of the hall
- Fitted double glazed windows to all of the hall
- Replaced the main hall floor
- Refurbished the front façade of the hall to make is weather proof
- Replaced the main hall doors
However, even with all this done there is still be a lot more work to be done to make the building more user friendly.

- Redecoration of Main Hall
- Update to the Heating System
- Update of the Lighting
