The Wildings is featured under Notable Addresses.
Built in 1908 for illustrator George Soper and his family, the house at Wildings in Harmer Green Lane is in danger of being demolished to make way for a modern replacement by the current owners. Objections have been raised by The RSPB, The Soper Trust and Digswell Residents Association: "Historic England states that an application has been made to add Wildings to the List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, which they are currently assessing."
The application is currently under review at Welwyn Hatfield Planning Department.
