Based on what you told us between May 2019 and July 2020, we aim to provide the following over the next few years:
- Investment in NMS community facilities
- New grant pot for Physical Improvement projects
Much time has been spent looking to create a stand-alone Hub for community activities. The available areas require a level of development funding beyond the current budget. However, we will work with partners and strive to achieve this. We have commissioned Space + Place Design to hold community consultations on the Roles Grove garages and depot site in 2021. Please share your views about our plans for this site by sending us a message in the "Get Involved Tab". Be sure to have your say!
NMS will continue working on and investment in facilities on Tantony Green, ensuring that it is “looked after”. We will also work with partners to consolidate the work done within the Community Centre to give it long term life.

When North Meets South created our first Plan, the community identified Green and Open spaces as a priority area. So we decided to hire a company to do an Audit of all the Green and Open spaces in the Big Local Area. Then we commissioned Wynne Williams Associates to audit and review the green and open spaces within the North meets South Area, and to consult with local residents and stakeholders further on the current and potential use of these spaces. Wynne Williams Associates produced a report on our behalf. You can read it here.
Next we commissioned Design with Nature to produce design options and suggestions for potential play equipment based on our previous consultations with you. These were shared at the 2017 Dragon’s Den event, and your views have helped inform a successful Veolia Environmental Trust grant application to help Big Local funding go further and create an amazing park for all to enjoy.
We're always keen to know what you think, so please do completing the form below and let us know your thoughts.
