In association with Take Art, China Plate and Surrey Arts, Hopper, a 20-month initiative to bring high quality early years theatre shows into pre-schools, nurseries, theatres, libraries and children’s centres was launched in Somerset and Surrey.

This initial pilot is focussed in specific areas of Somerset and Surrey with low levels of arts participation and identified disadvantaged families. Hopes are high to build on this touring network idea in the years ahead. 

After a challenging shortlisting process, during which we reviewed over 70 high quality applications from around the world, we announced our final selection:

                                 Second Hand Dance

                                 Flibbertigibbet Theatre

                                 AYCORN East

 

Hopper has supported the selected theatre companies to develop more than 70 high quality and relevant performances.  Now, in 2018 we are about to launch three seasons of performances. Some of these performances are open to the public and details of these are featured on the main Hopper page.
