Alva Community Council was established in June 1979 and has played an active role in the Community ever since; currently, 7 full members and 2 new co-opted members are sitting on the council. Alva Community Council, otherwise referred to as ACC, reports on different aspects of public grievances and discord to the Police and Clackmannanshire Council on behalf of the residents of Alva, as well as providing news, information and insights from a multitude of organisations that are active within our community to the public to keep them informed of important updates and events happening within the village; this is done on an unpaid and voluntary basis.
