"Imperfect democracy" was one of the runners-up in our March free-for-all and this will be a chance to return to political philosophy and to discuss whether any of the alternatives could produce more desirable results and better societies. We hope that there will be defences of communism, anarchism and "enlightened despotism", perhaps even of police states, fascism and/or military dictatorships – as well as of our imperfect democracy.
Bridges café evening entrance is from Kingston riverside, next to The Gazebo pub - doors open just for us from 5.30pm for a 6.00pm prompt start.
