The process agreed with the City Council and CHC when SWEP is called is as follows:

Gloucester City Council to email two Faith & VCS representatives, names as agreed, with SWEP notifications, for them then to forward onto other FVCS members.

The CHIG group had agreed to provide tokens to local authorities and St Mungo’s. The Faith groups had agreed to raise money themselves to buy bus tickets/tokens if necessary.

The standard procedure is now for faith & vcs group members to contact St Mungo’s to inform them of a rough sleeper needing SWEP accommodation, who would then raise both accommodation and travel – so it’s unlikely that there should be a need for any supplementing tokens.

If anyone experiences any problems relating to this please inform Chris Keppie, CHC.

Note: there has been a problem with Stagecoach drivers accepting thier own tokens saying they are obsolete. They aren't and an information pack has been sent to bus depots for circulation amongst drivers to this affect. One part of that pack is included in the members area in information, due to data protection.
