Jobsharing with Tania Celani, Miriam is Deputy Director for International, Resilience and Regulation on Space in the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
Miriam became a Civil Servant in 2011, before which she worked at Goldman Sachs. Her career has focused on steering international strategic policy, including overseas postings in Brussels and Abuja, Nigeria, covering policy from nuclear energy to intellectual property, and running a Minister's office.
Miriam is a passionate champion for diversity and inclusion across the Civil Service and the space sector, advocating for action on equality at all levels - from talent pipelines to women's public health. She recently completed the Oxford Women's Leadership Development Programme and is writing a book on the systemic power of jobsharing. Miriam serves as a governor for two primary schools and fundraises for local charities.
