New “On This Day” Feature for wemburywaves
wemburywaves has launched a brand-new “On This Day in Wembury” feature, bringing local history to life one date at a time. Each day, visitors can discover a snippet from the past, from dramatic court cases and shipwrecks to village events and curious anecdotes, all drawn from original newspaper reports and community archives.
The aim is to build a rolling calendar of Wembury’s heritage, so that whenever you visit the site, you’ll see what was happening here on this very date years ago. It’s another way wemburywaves is attempting to weave together music, memory and history for the local community.
