People’s Emergency Briefing

Tuesday 10 November 2026
19:00 to 21:00

Climate and nature impacts are already affecting local communities across the UK and are predicted to increase in severity between now and 2050. However, there is clear evidence that urgent action will strengthen our economy, resilience, and quality of life

The WaterCAN group are proud to show a screening of this film in partnership with the Parish council. Many other communities across the UK are doing the same thing.

This 50 minute film is based on a presentation in Westminster by nine leading UK scientists and experts covering the impact of climate change on different areas, including extreme weather , food, security, health and the cost of living.

After the film there will be an open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

Local politicians have been invited including Sir Julian Lewis.

The film is recommended for age 16+ based on expert advice.

More information about the briefings here. Each video is around ten minutes long.
