WaterCan Talk: "A Year in the Vegetable Garden"

As advertised by Hythe and Dibden Parish council, this talk is free and there will be the opportunity for questions and answers.

The speaker will be John Trim who will be focusing on allotment and garden management, its constraints and particularly its benefits in terms of healthy garden produce and good mental health.

John is a former head gardener and horticultural lecturer, as well as a designer of two Chelsea Flower Show Gardens and the author of the best selling book for vegetable exhibitors called 'The Root to the Top'.

Currently a member of the vegetable trials team at RHS Wisley, he is also a senior judge with the National Vegetable Society, and a RHS fruit judge.He has been a judge on the BBC 1 TV programme, 'The Great British Village Show', presented by Alan Titchmarsh which aired on Sunday evenings in 2007.

John has written content for the cookbooks of James Martin, the well know celebrity chef, as well as articles for allotment.org, various magazines and content for the National Vegetable Society.
