Updated 24 March 2021

We plan to reopen the club on Monday 29th March, subject to confirmation of the Government’s roadmap and confirmation of the latest guidance from England Athletics.

Our COVID policies and procedures that were in place prior to the current lockdown will remain in place, but additionally we have now introduced a a one-way system through the clubhouse from the side gate and out to the track. Exit from the stadium will be strictly through the front gate.

Masks (unless exempt), hand sanitisers and social distance measures must be used within the clubhouse and we ask that everyone please keeps the time they spend indoors at the stadium to an absolute minimum. For example, accompanying parents/guardians should not wait in the clubhouse and no form of training (including warmups, etc.) should be carried out indoors.

The toilets will be open on a strict ‘one in, one out’ basis with handwashing before and after use.

Coaches will continue to use the diary system, naming athletes at their training sessions for track and trace purposes and to ensure that all appropriate payments have been made.

Our designated COVID Co-ordinator will be making regular checks that our policies and procedures are adhered to.

Club Membership

Club membership fees are due from the 1st April for all athletes.

The Club Committee has decided to reduce membership fees to 75% of the normal charge, i.e. £26.25 Seniors and £18.75 for juniors. However, if you would like to pay the full amount (£35 for Seniors or £25 for Juniors) by way of an optional donation to the club, we would be very grateful for the extra support.

Competition licence fees are also due at £15.

Membership forms will be available from the front desk at the entrance to the clubhouse. Payment of membership fees should be made by BCAS transfer (details on form). We are trying to avoid cash payments as a safety measure to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

Academy Training

Our Academy training for younger athletes (typically aged 8 - 12-years-old) will also resume from the week commencing 29th March. To comply with current regulations, we must continue to strictly limit numbers. Atheltes who attended prior to the current lockdown have been invited to return and further information on any additional places will be announced shortly.

We would like to thank you once again for your patience and support during these difficult times. The health & safety of everyone at the club has always been our top priority and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Tamworth Stadium!
