Past Activities

In 2021 (in between lockdowns) we visited -

In June - Fairoaks Airport dates back to 1931 and has been a private airfield for many yeras.  We were shown around the airport by Stephen Wood, Company Secretary, who gave a fascinating and relaxed tour of the control tower, hangers and the airport runways.  We were lucky enough to be shown around various private planes and helicopters, a WWII blister hanger and the London Transport Flying Group base, used as a rest room for trainee WWII pilots.   It was a glorious evening and all who attended fully enjoyed the event. A huge thank you to Stephen for making the group feel so welcome.

Sept - Frimley Mansion with a guided tour and talk by Captain William Matthews of the interior of the house and gardens.  A huge thankyou to Cpt William Matthews for making the gorup feel so welcome.
