To all - hope you have had a brilliant Christmas and here's hoping for an even better New Year!
2015 was a fairly quiet year for the SRA in that we did not stage any major events up on the main field, however we did have two very successful fundraisers in conjunction with Mount Pleasant Golf Club. These were the annual Stondon Masters Golf Tournament and the Fireworks Night. Big "thank you" to all those that came and spent their money.
We were quiet because we were overseeing the construction of our brand new (and huge) MUGA up on the Recreation Field. There are still areas being developed on the field ie planting and benches around our new garden area, + we are looking to move some of the fencing to improve the look of our site - but all this takes time and hence we have been working busily behind the scenes to bring all our plans to fruition.
Long term - we want to install adult gym equipment, replace all the Playground equipment with brand new units, and completely refurbish the pavilion so it can be better used by users of the MUGA and field and for future events on the field.
Once the MUGA and garden area are finished, we want to hold a proper launch day so watch this space!
