The South Rodings is a Church of England Parish made up of four rural Essex villages with four Parish Churches and a population of 1350 located in the west of the Diocese of Chelmsford in the Deanery of Dunmow & Stansted. The four Churches are St Edmund Abbess Roding, St Botolph Beauchamp Roding, St Michael & All Angels Leaden Roding and St Martin White Roding. The South Rodings are part of a ten Church group along with the Six Parishes under the leadership of our Priest-in-Charge Revd Robert Stone.

Join us every Sunday in our churches, service details are on the "Church Services" page.

Parish News for January is now available. Vicar’s letter for the month can be read here where you will also find details of how to subscribe.

We continue to meet on Zoom for our mid-week service, for our 10 churches prayer meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 8pm, and for Home Group Fridays at 2pm. Please see ‘onlinechurch’ here for details.

Financial Giving – We are very grateful to the generosity of so many people who provide their time, talents and financial support to sustain the life and ministry of the 10 churches.  Regular giving is essential to help us plan our mission and ministry and to pay the insurance and cover maintenance for our 10 historic church buildings. The loss of income from giving in the collection plate on Sunday mornings, from not being able to hold weddings and funeral services in church and the loss of a number of planned community fundraising events, is having a major impact on our income, whilst the outgoings remain largely unchanged. We need income of at least £8,500 per month across the 10 churches to balance the books.  If you can support any of our village churches with a regular or one-off donation we would be very grateful. There are further details on how to give here. Thank you.
