RAKAT has a fleet of 27 minibuses available for use by voluntary and community organizations serving the residents of Richmond and Kingston. 17 of the vehicles are fully accessible and have low steps and passenger lifts suitable for use by people with limited mobility or those who require to be transported in their wheelchairs. All drivers are trained in the safe operations of the minibus and its equipment and in assisting passengers.
In addition RAKAT operates and manages several vehicles belonging to other projects and also advises groups on all aspects of the safe and legal operation of their own vehicles.
CHARGES
Tariff for bus hire are:
24 hour session £40.00
Charges cover all costs and include 20 miles of travel after which a mileage charge of 84p per mile is incurred.
