We work in partnership with Transport for London (TfL) and house and supervise Dial a Ride (DaR) operations for the Richmond and Kingston areas. We act as a liaison between users, community organisations and statutory agencies with DaR. This enables more journeys to be completed and a more responsive community led service in our area.
We work with the Hampton and Hampton Hill Voluntary Care Group to operate the Hampton Enterprise Project. This service incorporates a voluntary care scheme, shopping bus, a Plus Bus service and DaR services offering door to door transport for the frail, elderly and those with disabilities for whom conventional transport provision is inaccessible. RaKAT has developed a similar project in partnership with FiSH ( friendship, independence, support and help) a voluntary community care scheme offering help with practical tasks, support and friendship to anyone in need in Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen. The Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen Enterprise operates in a similar manner to the Hampton Enterprise offering its services to a similar client group.
