Like many of you I'm sure, I overdosed a couple of weeks ago for four days on 'Masters-itus', watching the best golfers in the world do battle on the hallowed fairways and carpet greens of Augusta.

Watching the young Jordon Spieth was just like watching our own Mark Bignall - well, watching his receeding forehead reminded me of him at least. Spieth showed maturity beyond his years as he matched Tiger's 18-under overall score and for some reason seemed quite happy with not only the trophy but also the $1.8m prize money that went with it.. In fact just about every golfer was laughing to the bank right from Spieth, down to Vijay Singh in 55th place who trousered $23,000 - and indeed every player who missed the cut was awarded $10,000 each!  If I'd known that I would've nipped over there and fired off a few scorchers myself...

Hertfordshire green by lake

The Masters of course, is merely a dry run for our Spring LEGS match at The Hertfordshire this Saturday - and with a few Round 1 and 2 Matchplay battles taking place, it should be a cracking day of golf.

I'm even giving up watching Palace v Hull City to play... I figured that after seeing the damage caused by one visiting ex-Palace Manager  - I didn't fancy watching another ex-Palace Manager do the same!

Speaking of football, I see Raheem Sterling has been caught inhaling Nitrous Oxide… what an idiot but I bet he’s laughing all the way to the bank. I made the mistake of putting Nitrous Oxide in some gravy I was making last week – all that happened was that I made myself a laughing stock…

Don't forget - Breakfast is at 11:00, with the first tee-off at Noon
