Mount Tabor Graveyard

You told us that the buildings and graveyard were important to you, so we have a team who are researching, investigating and taking care of the graveyard for you. As well as generally keeping it tidy and maintaining the pathways, we are working on a list of what graves are where and researching family histories. Stay tuned for more updates to come and please let us know if you have any information.

Our very dedicated committee members have been working really hard and look what they have achieved!
We have 7 Commonwealth War Graves in our graveyard in Mount Tabor, from both World War 1 and World War 2, which have now been recognised, with a new sign from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

We held our annual Act of Remembrance on Saturday 9th November 2024
to remember those from our village who gave their lives during these two conflicts.
We had bugler to sound the Last Post in our act of remembrance
and dedicated our "Tommy" in the memorial garden.

‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’
