Friends of Lampton Park is a community-led group dedicated to protecting, celebrating, and nurturing one of Hounslow’s most loved green spaces. Rooted in care, connection, and community spirit, we work together to preserve the park’s natural beauty while creating opportunities for wellbeing, learning, and belonging.
Formed by local residents who believe that nature heals, restores, and unites, Friends of Lampton Park aims to bring people closer to the environment and to one another. We organise a range of activities throughout the year — from tree planting, flower bed preparation, and litter-picking sessions to mindfulness walks, creative workshops, and seasonal events that celebrate the park’s rich biodiversity and heritage.
Our work is not just about keeping Lampton Park green — it’s about helping people reconnect with themselves and each other through nature. Whether it’s through volunteering, taking part in community projects, or attending our nature-based wellbeing events, everyone is welcome to get involved.
We collaborate with partners such as Green Space Lampton Services and local organisations to encourage environmental education, tackle isolation, and build a stronger, more inclusive community. Every project we do — from the “Mindful Lampton – Forget Me Not” event honouring Covid victims to community Iftars and creative wellbeing sessions — is rooted in empathy, remembrance, and renewal.
For many of us, Lampton Park is more than just a green space — it’s a sanctuary of resilience, harmony, and hope. Together, we’re ensuring it continues to thrive for generations to come.
We’re a group of local residents who first connected during community gardening sessions run by Hounslow Council in the Spring of 2024.
United by our love of nature, we formed the Friends of Lampton Park to educate and raise awareness of the park’s biodiversity and beauty through nature-based events.
We work at a grassroots level to support mental wellbeing, tackle isolation and encourage community cohesion.
As an evolving group of volunteers, we organise ourselves openly and collaboratively, which is deeply rooted in care.
We welcome new members, so if you'd like to get involved, please speak to us at one of our upcoming events or email us at friendsoflamptonpark@gmail.com.
