Simone de Beauvoir is famous as a leading French writer, intellectual, existentialist philosopher, political activist, feminist and social theorist.  She is mainly known for her 1949 treatise The Second Sex, a detailed analysis of women's oppression, a foundational tract of contemporary feminism, and a primary text for this course.

This 10 week online course at RHACC is held on Wednesday (13:00-15:00), it starts on the 30th September and finishes on the 2nd December.
