Tuesday 10 March 2020
19:30 to 21:00

At 19:30 we will discuss the topic of disagreement.  Aspects include: “disinvited” speakers at universities; street and campus protests becoming increasingly unpleasant or even violent; excessive polarization in politics; the “filter bubbles” of news/social media; the “closing of minds”; protected feelings/causing offence; identity politics; free speech - must ultimately be free, whether or not it’s fair; hate speech, etc.
