Kingston Philosophy Café

An "end of term" discussion, probably even less formal than usual, to review what we have done so far and what we want to do next. This is your opportunity to suggest topics and to volunteer to chair a meeting and/or lead a discussion.  This needn't be particularly daunting - you could just come along with a question and throw it open to the group, or use a philosophical problem from a book to start things off - see How? What? Where? When? for some ideas.

This will also be a chance to suggest possible speakers for an occasional more formal public meeting - though you can do this any time.

How the Philosophy Cafe shapes up and develops in 2009 will depend on participants - how many turn up to events, what they want, whether they are prepared to help keep things going.

Please come along a bit early to meet up and buy drinks at the Rose bar and to find your way to our space before the discussion begins. We are guests of the Theatre, and need to arrange our meetings around the Theatre programme, so our meeting must close at 7.30 prompt when the evening's performance begins - though the conversation can continue at a nearby cafe or pub...
