Watering your Plot

There are rules on how you water your plot

Our biggest expense is water and our water charges have increased. It is up to us all to keep the costs down.

Cricket lane Allotments set out the following rules on watering for its members:-

·      Hoses must be handheld at all times.  Hoses connected to sprinklers, tied to fork handles etc or otherwise left unattended may be confiscated or required to be removed from the site.

·      If any member is seen using hosepipes in any other way than handheld, they will receive a written warning.  If 3 warnings are issued, they may be liable for eviction.  Hosepipes must be disconnected from the tap when not in use.

·      Be mindful that other members may be waiting to water their plots, and to keep to a maximum of 1 hour to water a 10 rod plot.
