Presentation on community proposals for the Old Post Office, Kingston
Tuesday 08 July 2014
18:30 to 20:00
Hosted by Transition Town Kingston as one of its regular open meetings, this will be a presentation and update on community proposals for Kingston's Old Post Office (TOPO), as it looks as though there is at last some movement on the site, with a public consultation coming up soon. All welcome to come along to find out more and, we hope, support the proposals.
Doors open at 6.30 for a 7.00pm start. There will be someone in the lobby to welcome you and show you where to go from 6.30 - 7.00, but if you arrive outside that time, to enter Surrey House (Opposite Eden Walk shopping centre and United Reformed Church) press the buzzer (possibly several times) for Healthy Planet and wait.
Please note that this is a "meanwhile" community space and the lift to the 3rd floor may not operate outside office hours.
The formal part of the evening should be over by 8.00pm, but informal discussion can continue afterwards.
Every TTK meet-up also offer a chance after the talk or film to meet the TTK management team and each other, promote sustainability projects, ptich new ideas, find out more about other TTK and local green activities, and chat informally... Please bring food and drink to share if you'd like to stay and be sociable.
