Vaccine update

Fantastic news on the uptake rate of the Covid vaccine across our borough - the overall vaccination rate for those aged 70 and over is 93%, which is really encouraging news.

As the rollout continues across the country, people aged 55 and over can now book their appointment at a vaccination centre on the NHS website. People on the Learning Disability Register are also eligible to book online, along with all health and social care staff, all care home staff and residents, anyone who is clinically extremely vulnerable or clinically vulnerable, and anyone who is the main carer of someone at high risk from coronavirus

If you are in receipt of, or eligible for Carer’s Allowance, or are on the NHS Shielded Patients list, you will receive a letter inviting you for vaccination.

Efforts continue across the borough to ensure no one is left behind and that all of our diverse communities have the information they need to make a positive choice to take up the vaccine.

If you’re an unpaid carer, you can find more information about how you can get the vaccines on Kingston Council's website.
