New weekly peer support group meetings for older carers (65+) running from July until November

Meet others and share experiences, hear from experts on how best to look after yourself, learn some new skills, and have fun!

The first four sessions are as follows: 

Older_Carers_Lunch

Monday 22nd July

Meet fellow carers, hear more about the plans for the group over the coming months and enjoy a lovely lunch

11am to 1pm at KCN office 

 

Squires_Garden_Centre

Wednesday 31st July

Join us at Squires Garden Centre, Long Ditton for coffee and cake plus a short stroll in their beautiful wildflower meadow or a spot of shopping 

10.30am - mini bus from KCN office - return around 12.30pm to KCN

Mind_in_Kingston

Monday 5th August

Do you care for someone with mental health issues? 

Mind will be coming to talk about how you can support someone when they are having a tough time and how to manage an emergency situation. Plus plenty of opportunity to talk to fellow carers. 

11am to 1pm at KCN office - refreshments provided 

Looking_after_Yourself

Wednesday 14th August

Looking after yourself 

It's really important to look after yourself as much as possible. Hear about strategies and techniques you can utilise. Plus plenty of opportunity to talk to fellow carers. 

11am to 1pm at KCN office - refreshments provided
