Twickenham Road, Isleworth
1-6 Sermon’s Almshouses are located on the corner of Twickenham Road and North Street in Isleworth. The six almshouses were built and endowed in 1843 by Mrs Sarah Sermon.
In 2017 each almhouse was remodelled and rear-extended.
In selecting residents for accommodation, preference is given to women of not less than 50 years of age.
In 2009 the Charity built a new block of 2 one-bed flats and 1 studio flat on a small site adjacent to 1-6 Sermon’s Almshouses. In selecting residents for 7-9 Sermon’s Almshouses preference is given to men and women over 50 years of age.
