HVHA welcomes bookings from any group or individuals who wish to use the hall for social or community events and others by agreement. We will not hire the hall to persons under 18, and the officers, management committee or premises managers have the discretion to refuse bookings that they deem inappropriate e.g. unsupervised teenage parties, 

There is a charge for the use of the hall of £12.00 per hour or part of, to cover heating, lighting, water and insurance purposes . An additional fee of £20.00 is charged for the licensed bar service at a flat rate.

Hett Village Hall is available for hire for authorised events. Facilities include:

a] the Main Hall suitable for a variety of functions such as parties, celebrations, dances, rehearsals, meetings etc;
b] refurbished kitchen facilities with electric water boiler, cooker, crockery and cutlery;
c] ladies and gents toilets – accessible adapted facility;
d] a serviced and stocked licensed bar – if required;
e] free car parking for up to 20 cars [at owners risk].

The Hall holds a Premises Licence for the supply and sale of alcohol, regulated entertainment and late night food. HVHA is operated entirely by volunteers, is a Registered Charity, and whilst a not for profit organisation seeks to recoup costs with an element of any hire income going towards the upkeep of the building.

To hire the Hall the cost is £12.00 per hour inclusive of use of the premises and its facilities, electricity and water. Should the bar service [canned and bottled beers/lager, wines, spirits and non alcoholic and soft drinks] be required an additional flat rate charge of £20.00 is made. Maximum capacity of the Hall = 90 people including “staff”. Hirers are responsible for the sensible, courteous and clean operation of the premises paying respect to the privacy of our neighbours. They must agree to abide by the Safety Checklist and Instructions [provided]which include Procedure in the Event of a Fire, the hours and activities stipulated by the Premises Licence [copy in the entrance hall] and the relevant HVHA Policy booklet contents. All events must finish by 23.30 [Saturday at 23.45] with the premises vacated by the public before 23.59. Smoking, including electronic and vape cigarettes] is prohibited.
