Burial Ground Rules
Notice regarding attendance at funeral services
Following the tighter measures put in place by Government to reduce the risk of COVID-19, the Parish Council wants to reassure residents it is committed to providing the highest standards at the burial ground, while at the same time placing the health and safety of visitors and staff as a priority.
In order to ensure funeral services of loved ones can continue, and in observance of the advice received from the Government, health authorities and professional partners, the Parish Council is asking that the number of attendees at the grave side is limited to those of the immediate family – spouse or partner, parents or carers, siblings and children (and partners). Where possible, please abide by the two metre social distancing advice.
It is understood that these two requests are difficult at a time of mourning, however, by following them we will help in reducing the spread of the coronavirus.
We would like to thank everyone for their understanding during this difficult time.
