Prayer

The Lords Prayer.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,

thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13

Prayer Points

You may have little interest in church & traditional faith yet sometimes you find yourself longing to  pray, drawn to spiritual matters; we would like to help. These days all of us are concerned about something or someone we know or about a local, national or even international situation.

At such times it can be comforting to know that others are prepared to pray with us or for us.

We have set up ‘Prayer Points’ with an 'in house' prayer team. This is for the local community and neighbourhood or anyone else, whether you have had a link with a church or not. If you would like us to pray about something that is on your mind all you need do is email the Prayer Points team to:-

urcprayerpoints@gmail.com   Denote subject of email as, 'Prayer Points Team'

Please give a bit of detail to help the prayer team to focus on your concern. You can give as little or as much information as you wish and confidentiality will be respected. We can’t promise blue skies, a lottery win or even a win for Glaws but we do think prayer changes situations! It’s good to know others are supporting you by praying.

A Prayer for Love and Forgiveness.

Lord of changes; help us to understand our ways of life. Help us to understand the wind and rain, sunshine and blue sky, dark cloud and lightening. Lord you see all the good in these things.

But Lord we are as mere mortals. Lord, see the distress and damage these can sometimes cause and do.

Lord, breathe new life into us Lord to help us understand. Lord of the hopeless and the tired. Help us, to give us hope and, re-inspire those who have lost their homes in this time of bad weather.

Help them to see good, that the rain and sunshine can bring good times and plenty from the harvests. God of hope, God of the flames, wind and rain, burn what is bad. But shine the light and burn the flames of good in us Lord, forever Lord.

Amen.
