A group dedicated to promoting the memory of social reformer George Lansbury (1859 - 1940), London's crusading East End Mayor and Leader of the Labour Party (1932 - 1935). Each year the trust organises a Memorial lecture in his memory. The trust was instrumental in rennovating the Hale Street mural commerating the 1921 Poplar Rates Rebellion.
