COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC

A wide variety of cultural events are currently being provided on the internet. A selection of these is shown below in no particular order. It is hoped that this will not only provide some recompense for the absence of our regular programme, but will also help to make the long days of enforced isolation and social distancing seem shorter and more fulfilling.

The Arts Society. On April 7, 2020 our parent organisation launched a service with a developing range of offerings. It is called 'The Arts Society Connected' and can be found at https://theartssociety.org

Opera North have a varied range available, at https://www.operanorth.co.uk
Bachtrack is focused on providing details of streamed cultural offerings which you might want to participate in during the period of being confined to home. The list of offerings, from concerts to ballet to opera is increasing all the time and the site is well worth a regular visit at https://bachtrack.com 

The National Theatre are broadcasting a wide range of drama on National Theatre Live, at https://nationaltheatre.org.uk

The Arts Council also have a  wide range of events and activities, well worth investigation at https://www.artscouncil.org.uk

And, of course, never forget the fantastic range of cultural programmes on BBC4!
