If you are interested in joining us, please contact us via the email address below

The Friends of Deepdene is a wildlife conservation group with a keen interest in local history. In particular we are dedicated to restoring the historic Hope family legacy on the old Deepdene Estate in and around Dorking.

Members of the group are all volunteers. The Group is sponsored and directed by Mole Valley District Council and was until recently supported and guided by the Surrey Wildlife Trust.

The volunteers meet twice a week to carry out maintenance, restoration and conservation tasks covering over 85 Acres of the old Deepdene estate, including Deepdene Terrace, Chart Park, Glory Wood, Betchworth Castle and Betchworth Park.

To enquire about joining the Friends of Deepdene please send an email to: friendsofdeepdene@gmail.com

For more details about the Hope family and the Deepdene Estate see the Deepdene Trail website or for more local history visit the Dorking Museum.  Highlights of the groups work can be seen on their Facebook page, HopeSprings Eternal - The Deepdene trail.
