A free walking club in Colton, Staffordshire. Monthly walks and a summer social take place.

Walks usually take place on the third Sunday of the month.  Meet at St Mary's Church, Colton, WS15 3JW at 09.30hrs prompt.  Cars are shared if possible for a drive to the start of the walk.  Length of walks about 6-8 miles.  Bring a packed lunch and drink.

Next walk is on 20th October 2019 and is to be led by Martin

We will be parking at Jacksons Bank car park in Brackenhurst Wood on the minor road between Hoar Cross and Newchurch. The walk is 5 miles and there are several stiles, although none that are really difficult. there is a wet and muddy downhill stretch near the start, so appropriate footwear and care is needed. Otherwise the walking is reasonable considering the recent wet weather. Road repairs are taking place on the road past the car park, but access is allowed and there should not be a problem on a Sunday.

It is suggested that we all meet at Colton Church at 9.30am as normal before minimising transport to the start.

The Ramblers Summer Social was on 27th July.  The Ramblers thanks are to Sue and Martin for hosting us all.
